Love’s Gravity

Our correspondence corresponds in thought, feelings, means, and ends.

I tried to leave the conversation love was having with me.

But,

In the process of exiting,

I realized you joined in as well.

The discourse grew progressively deeper,

too deep to climb out of.

The walls were too steep to hold a grip.

Now I glide and fall, I slip, I slide and stall the landing,

hoping it turns out softer than I originally anticipated.

But like gravity, love pulls you to its core.

Hold open the door;

don’t slam it in my face.

Let the landing be soft,

like a fingertips’ trace.

Don’t deceive me with your beauty,

for I will run into the mirror if not through it.

Do it right:

unveil yourself from estrangement.

You seem to have light in your interior, don’t lose it.

Shining bright, release my lonely soul’s enslavement.

Once love paves a way

the intellect can’t stay the same.

Once love fades away

the intellect takes the blame and

it’d be a shame to seek shelter, if love rains rays of warmth and comfort.

Let it melt you.

Let love reign and you’ll have her.

How, when, nor why does not matter.
