I woke up to a dream,

your face etched in the morning’s gleam, the first thing I seen,

a vision too vivid to disbelieve.

With each blink, you’re etched inside,

I see you when I close my eyes.

My prayer fulfilled, my wish supplied,

all I asked for, I received,

my sight is set, I settled and achieved, my soul reprieved.

Happiness—a genuine smile,

one that lay dormant a long, long while,

now it blooms at the mere thought of you.
